Hey! So Glad You're Here.

The Cultured Teacher page contains blog entries based from my personal experiences as a teacher in the Philippines and here in America. I chose the term "Cultured" for my page, as I believe that through sharing my experiences, I will be able to be part of a cultured society. I moved here in America in 2015 under an international teacher exchange program. The purpose of the exchange program is to expose American students to different culture, which is one of the steps in promoting globalization and diversity in the school system. I enjoyed sharing my culture to the my students, especially to my students with Hispanic heritage. I am so excited to learn about the American educational system as I go through my EdD journey. The things that I learned help me to prepare my students to be globally-competitive and practice cultural responsiveness inside and outside the classroom. I will be sharing my "aha" moments in this blog, and I hope this blog will be helpful to local and foreign teachers who are teaching in America. Current issues and trends that educators, students and parents Aare facing will be part of this blog. I would love to hear your ideas, comments and thoughts about my posts.
