Using TpT Resources in Teaching: Good or Bad?

I am one of the teachers who is fond of using Teachers pay Teachers (TpT) for classroom resources and materials. Teacher pay Teachers is a website where teachers can purchase and sell materials for all content areas and for all grade levels. It is great venue for teacher resources sharing what works for them, also providing opportunities for teachers to earn as an addition with their teacher paycheck. There are many tasks that teachers have on their plate and creating materials for their class is almost impossible. School districts are providing materials like textbook developed by high stake companies who are also responsible for state testing. The truth is most of the materials from high stake companies are not student appropriate as it was not developed by classroom teachers, who are the REAL experts when it comes to materials used in teaching. As a teacher, it is essential for me that students are using materials that are age-appropriate, and still challenges them. Two of my favorite Teacher pay Teachers creator are Noelle of the "Maneuvering the Middle" and Gina Wilson of "All Things Algebra". Both of the creators were former classroom Math teachers and their materials are based on the Common Care State Standards (CCSS), STAAR, and TEKS. Aside from materials, both creators offer webinars for teachers, and parents (home-school) on how to use the materials and even provides video for of their lessons. Yes, it took me years to find a TpT creator that I have the same educational philosophy and style of teaching. Hope you enjoy their materials!
